Without boundary wire
The new range from Gardena also has different approaches to mowing with three different models. The smart Sileno free can mow without a boundary wire. No antennas or signal masts are required for this. With satellite-supported navigation, real-time kinematics and Gardena's improved platform technology, LONA (localization and navigation technology), the mowing area can be easily defined. For the initial installation, the robotic lawnmower only needs to be guided along the edges of the lawn via the app. Once the lawn has been mapped, you can also define different areas in the app. If the grass grows more slowly in some areas, the mowing cycle can be changed here. You can also define exclusion zones.
With boundary wire
The Sileno max and Sileno pro models continue to mow with a boundary wire. The two “classic” models adapt the mowing to the grass growth. They can cope with slopes of up to 30 percent and can also mow when it rains. The robotic lawnmowers can be adjusted from a short distance using the free Bluetooth app.
New feature on all models
All three models have a new trim-to-edge function.As soon as the robotic lawnmower reaches a fixed edge, it turns 180 degrees and thus also reaches blades of grass growing along walls or fences. The new models all have two blade discs with three blades each. All three models are available for different area sizes.
Upgrades available
Gardena also offers an anti-collision radar that detects obstacles and avoids them accordingly. And if you don't just want to access your robotic lawnmower from a short distance, you can also upgrade to the Gardena smart system with the smart gateway to be able to use functions such as LONA technology. Updates are then possible via the smart gateway, which provide the mower with innovations in this technology. However, the radar, gateway, garage, maintenance set and wheel brushes are not included in the purchase price and must be purchased separately.
